It's been very busy these last few months and time has not allowed me to blog as I would have liked to. I want to share a few conversations I've had over the last few months with different persons....
In Madison Wisconsin in September the Pagan community held a Pagan Pride festival, this was a nicely attended outdoor event with vendors , workshops, music etc... I have my DEFEAT JIHAD and OUTLAW SHARIA bumpers stickers on all of our family vehicles, and so of course these were visible as I was unloading for set up at the event.... the following is a conversation that happened that morning...
A young man in his early twenties stopped me as I was setting up and proceeded to go on about how Christians are the murderers , etc... I explained that I don't see any christian telling me that I was inferior to men, and that if I didn't agree with their faith and convert to their form of belief I should be killed. I asked if he had actually read the koran? His response was ... ah... yah....ah....I have. I then asked him to explain abrogation... he could not. I asked him about the passages regarding woman and non believers, he didn't have a clue... I tried to explain that in the koran the only ones that would be allowed to keep their beliefs were the people of the book, Christians and Jews, and then only if they agreed to become dhimmi's. As a Pagan his only option would be to convert or be killed. He just kept on and on about how I was a biggit, I was wrong to have those bumper stickers on my car,etc... I finally just shook my head and told him that as a pagan he would have no choice but convert or die under islam, he called me a racist and walked away!
Now I have always held the belief that everyone has a right to believe in what ever they whish as long as it does not interfere with my life, and they do not try to impose their views on me. It goes back to what I have said in the past, lets agree to disagree, just don't impose your ideals onto me.
islame (and I do mean lame) is a system that tries to impose its beliefs on others and states that unless you convert , as a person that is not of the book, your only other choice is death! Now tell me , how can anyone who calls themselves a Pagan defend this! ARRGH>>>>>>>>>>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At another event earlier this summer, at the Chicago Highland Games in Oakbrook, I got into a conversation with a woman about islam and it started out with the usual PC tripe from her about how all religion's are equal, blah, blah, blah,... But the difference was that she was willing to listen, and I explained the passages about beating woman, a woman's word being worth only half of a mans in a court of law. How islam believes that ol mo was perfect and that is why they follow him as a perfect example of a man. About Asha, how mo raped her at age seven, how they believe that the koran was the final word of their god, and the concept of abrogation... etc... I gave her a card with the web addresses for www.jihadwatch.org and other web sites... and she actually went away from our conversation willing to question what she had been hearing about islam.... so there is hope.... some are willing to open up their minds... and then there are others like the young man from Madison who will one day wake up and ask what happened...?
